Here is a little background on myself to help you get to know me.Personally: I have been married for over 19 years and have two daughters ages 13 and 9. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to watch the latest movies. I am a Christian and freely incorporate Faith whenever it is wanted. I am also a proud United States Navy veteran along with my husband.
Professionally: I have a passion for helping people become empowered so they can overcome struggles. I will bring energy, hope, a positive attitude, friendliness and respect to our work. I also have a passion for helping couples to reignite the flame and commitment of love.
I believe my role in therapy is to collaborate alongside you to help you discover your wisdom, potential, and inner strengths. I specialize in working with perfectionists, those with a need to please, those with a "roller coaster" of emotions, and those who feel shame.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health Counseling. There are a few areas that I have obtained special certifications and additional training and they are as follows: Discernment Counselor, a Certified HeartMath Practitioner (Biofeedback therapy), a Certified Anger Management Treatment Provider, Certified Telemental Health Practitioner (TMHI-Distance counseling), and Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC)
